چکیده

Food insecurity, the inadequate or insecure access to food because of financial constraints, is an important public health concern, associated with poor physical and mental health. Recent research among post-secondary students shows that it also has consequences for academic performance; are more likely have lower grades drop out. This qualitative study aimed describe experiences Queen’s University who didn’t enough money worried about having food. We conducted semi-structured interviews 12 undergraduate, 10 graduate 5 professional students. Participants included 14 colour 2 Indigenous All described chronic insecurity during their time at Queen’s, including 9 experienced severe skipping meals going hungry. Most participants cycled between different levels (severe, moderate, marginal) depending on availability resources, though a few were severely moderately ongoing basis. None escaped worry anxiety being able properly feed themselves.
